Bio

Sean Simmers is a photographer based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, specializing in documentary, editorial, photojournalism, and portraiture. He’s consistently made stunning images during his 10-year career as a photojournalist for the Harrisburg Patriot-News.

His work has been routinely recognized by the National Press Photographers Association, both the NPPA Southern Short Course and the Northern Short Course, Editor and Publisher, the Associated Press Managing Editors, and Keystone Press Photographers. His work was included in the America 24-7 project including 5 doubletrucks in the Pa. book. Sean holds a BFA in Photography from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

When not behind the camera he can be found playing any number of sports with his son Asa, or helping his wife Laura Mathews keep the Punk in her business, Punk Rock Gardens.
